Free Digital Project Training
The Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC) is hosting a free workshop
on digital project planning. The description of this introductory course
is below. Other upcoming workshops include training on CONTENTdm, a

Digital Project Planning
MLNC will host an introduction to digital project planning that will be
conducted as a two day two hour webinar presented by Liz Bishoff, former
Executive Director of the Collaborative Digitization Program (CDP). The
two day introductory session designed for libraries and cultural heritage
organizations who are interested in digitizing their collections. Topics
covered during the program include building a digital collection—selection
criteria; copyright and intellectual property consideration; metadata
standards and best practices; digital imaging standards and best
practices; quality control practices; approaches for making your
collections available to users; and how to preserve your digital
collections.
This workshop will focus on standards associated with photographs, text,
documents. Future workshops address the specific standards associated with
digital audio and video.
This workshop is grant funded and there is no charge. However, MLNC
reserves the right to limit registration to Missouri institutions and the
number of people attending from one institution.
