"Sharing Community Stories: Storytelling and Effective Interpretation in Exhibits"
Hosted by The Story Center at Mid-Continent Public Library and generously sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council
Mark Twain. Maya Angelou. Thomas Hart Benton. Marianne Moore. All four artists used story in their work as a way to engage us deeply in an understanding of the human condition. Workshop participants will understand how different perspectives-through stories-can create deeply engaging exhibitions. They will experiment with different ways of sharing stories in exhibition formats and gain confidence in sharing and collecting stories. Linda Norris will share new ideas in museum practice to create opportunities for deeper connections and learning.
