MAMA Colleague Conversation: CatalogIt: St. Joseph Museum and its new collections management database

Sara Wilson and Emily Zeman are excited to discuss the St. Joseph Museum’s migration from Past Perfect to CatalogIt for collections database management.  They will be joined by Dan Rael, Co-founder of CatalogIt who will discuss the program and answer questions.  The St. Joseph Museum staff will share how this program is allowing them to make their collection accessible to their local community as well as researchers across the world. CatalogIt has simplified working with virtual volunteers. Community members have become more engaged and are helping staff update records.  On-site interns and volunteers have been able to use their cell phones to add photographs of collections items to the database.
